Smart Sump Pump Connection

This particular overmolded cable is used in a smart pump application.

The end that you see with the colored wires are wired to the motor. The other section of this overmolded cable assembly plugs into the motor connector, with the other end of that overmolded assembly being plugged into the wall. The complete cable assembly is waterproof.

If the power fails the pump has a battery back up that will switch over and run the pump. In addition it also has a modem so that it can inform you if your battery power is getting too low to continue to run the pump. Hopefully, the main power will be back on before the battery has run down.
